THE CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE ACCREDITATION SCHEME
The Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme covers all work undertaken by solicitors and suitably qualified Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) arising out of any act of negligence, breach of contract and/or statutory duty as a result of which the victim has sustained injuries in the course of medical or dental care.
Members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of clinical negligence.
Mrs Helen Thompson is accredited to this scheme.
THE CONVEYANCING QUALITY SCHEME
The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. Membership establishes a level of credibility for firms with stakeholders such as regulators, lenders and insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.
The CQS has created a trusted community which has helped year on year to deter fraud and continually improve standards across the residential conveyancing sector.
ACTION AGAINST MEDICAL ACCIDENTS (AVMA)
Freemans are members of the charity Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) Lawyers Service which provides specialist services, information and training to lawyers serving clinical negligence clients
AvMA is a charity providing free independent advice and support to people affected by medical accidents (lapses in patient safety). AvMA promotes good practice by lawyers in the fields of clinical negligence and medical law through its Lawyers Support Service. AvMA also work in partnership with health professionals, the NHS, government departments, lawyers and, most of all patients, to improve patient safety and justice.
